Its been an unbelievable FOUR MONTHS since the last standard set dropped (to be fair to the never ending spoiler season, we have had a commander set and masters set in the middle) - plenty of time for all the Streets of New Capenna commanders to be built, and the dust to settle on who's top, just before Dominaria United drops!
Quite a way out in front, in a shard heavy set no less, is a mono white Angel tribal commander Giada, Font of Hope with 3,780 decks.
My expectation of Jinnie Fay, Jetmir's Second to be in the top 5 was unfortunately wrong, but it seems like the go wide / token strategy winner goes to Jetmir, Nexus of Revels
Raffine, Scheming Seer uses the new Connive mechanic (draw X, discard X where X is the number of attacking creatures) - so we're looking at go wide flyers..meh?
Ziatora, the Incinerator is a Fling on a stick - play a fatty, throw it at someones face use damage doublers, aristocrat pingers, get some treasures as a reward...seems like fun actually...
Rounding out the top 5 slot is Queza, Augur of Agonies - a card that would be utterly amazing if it said "each opponent"... :(
Decks | Commander |
3,780 | Giada, Font of Hope |
3,249 | Jetmir, Nexus of Revels |
3,010 | Raffine, Scheming Seer |
2,708 | Ziatora, the Incinerator |
2,169 | Queza, Augur of Agonies |
2,106 | Jinnie Fay, Jetmir's Second |
1,890 | Ognis, the Dragon's Lash |
1,846 | Falco Spara, Pactweaver |
1,749 | Evelyn, the Covetous |
1,594 | Lord Xander, the Collector |
The number we're looking at here is the 75% quartile - 25% of decks for a commander are built to be more expensive than this price (so 75% are less expensive)
Also shown on the chart is the 90% quartile - so only 10% of decks are built to be more expensive than this - if the 90% marker lies outside the thin line, it is classed as an outlier to the data - an unusually high value compared to the rest
The first two entries look like they are CEDH viable - Rocco, Cabaretti Caterer (food chain combo) and Raffine, Scheming Seer (Turbo ad naus), so no surprises they are ahead of the pack - but Rocco, Cabaretti Caterer is way ahead at $4,274!
Nothing too exciting in the rest of the pack, all seem to be centered around $1000 for a 75% build
75% $$$ | Commander |
$4,274 | Rocco, Cabaretti Caterer |
$1,803 | Raffine, Scheming Seer |
$1,317 | Lord Xander, the Collector |
$1,227 | Rigo, Streetwise Mentor |
$1,077 | Evelyn, the Covetous |
$1,077 | Cormela, Glamour Thief |
$958 | Jinnie Fay, Jetmir's Second |
$911 | Falco Spara, Pactweaver |
$903 | Ognis, the Dragon's Lash |
$902 | Queza, Augur of Agonies |
Using the EDHRec salt scores to rank our SNC Commanders, (Basically, this means the most maddening decks to play against - depending on what type of person you are, that might just mean the most fun to play)
What is this? A set of "fair magic" commanders? Where's the salt?!! Not here - unless you go into CEDH territory, that's where all the salty cards live - Rocco, Cabaretti Caterer and Raffine, Scheming Seer, i'm looking at you again!
Salt Score Average | Commander |
34.49 | Rocco, Cabaretti Caterer |
31.66 | Lord Xander, the Collector |
